Avid Outdoorsman

I love to be in nature. I am a frequent hiker, rock climber, and paddle-boarder, and I can often be found wandering around the state parks of Central North Carolina, or paddling down the Deep or Rocky Rivers. Additionally, I am a licensed skydiver, having completed more than 30 freefall skydives and more than 60 total jumps.

Self-proclaimed Nerd

When I'm not outdoors, I'm a through-and-through nerd. I'm passionate about data, coding, and learning in general, and I'm frequently honing my skills on python, R, SQL, HTML, CSS, or Javascript. Additionally, I am an amateur drone builder and pilot, having built from scratch a 5" quadcopter. When I'm not coding or building drones, I like to play Dungeons and Dragons, or make new ferments in the kitchen, like kombucha, sauerkraut, or mead.

Husband, Friend, Volunteer

I am married to my wife, Molly, who works as a graphic designer and oil painter (and is also a licensed skydiver). I serve as a board member for the Operation Allies Refuge Foundation, and have volunteered time to act and coach with Furman University's improv comedy troupe, and Augusta, Georgia's charitable improv comedy troupe Schrodinger's Cat.
